Córdoba is preparing to host one of the most anticipated editions of the Rally Sierra Morena, which this 2025 debuts as a points-scoring event for the European Rally Championship (ERC) and hosts the second round of the Spanish Rally Championship (S-CER). With a record level of participation and the presence of figures from the World Rally Championship (WRC), the competition promises to be a spectacle on the Córdoba asphalt.
Among the prominent drivers, Thierry Neuville, the 2024 World Rally Champion, will be one of the big attractions at the wheel of the Hyundai i20 N Rally1. For his part, Toyota has also confirmed the participation of Elfyn Evans and Scott Martin with their GR Yaris Rally1. With this commitment, both WRC teams will take advantage of the event to test the new Hankook tires on asphalt, preparing for the Rally Islas Canarias, the next event of the world championship.
Sierra Morena 2025 will feature 64 teams registered in the ERC, including 29 Rally2, 22 participants in the Junior ERC and 24 in the ERC4 category. In addition, the list of drivers includes names such as Efrén Llarena, Andrea Mabellini and Miko Marczyk, who will seek to stand out in the European championship. At the national level, figures such as Pepe López and José Antonio Suárez will lead the fight for the Spanish Super Championship.

The event had a high-level presentation at the Caballerizas Reales in Córdoba, with the presence of drivers, institutions and local authorities. The mayor of the city, José María Bellido, highlighted the pride that Córdoba has in hosting such a high-magnitude event within international motorsports.
With 209.96 km of timed events spread over 13 stages, the 2025 Rally Sierra Morena will take place from 3 to 6 April, promising an intense battle at both European and national level. Fans will be able to follow the action live via ERC broadcasts, which will bring images of Córdoba around the world.
