Nikolay Gryazin and his co-driver Konstantin Aleksandrov were the dominant force at the 2025 Rally Sierra Morena, winning from start to finish with the Škoda Fabia RS Rally2 from the new J2X Rally Team. The Russian led the event from the Friday night super special stage and finished with a 46-second margin, claiming his fifth victory in the European Rally Championship (ERC).
His performance was flawless, particularly in the final stage on Saturday, where he increased his lead by more than 11 seconds over the second-best time. Gryazin also scored four extra points in the Power Stage, showing full confidence with his car on the Córdoba asphalt.
Frenchman Yoann Bonato, driving the Citroën C3 Rally2, pulled off an impressive comeback to finish second, after falling to twelfth place at the start. Meanwhile, José Antonio ‘Cohete’ Suárez and Alberto Iglesias, despite losing time due to a tire issue, managed to finish on the European podium in third.
Andrea Mabellini finished fourth, having set the best time in the Power Stage, and Miko Marczyk rounded out the Top 5. Mille Johansson, reigning ERC4 champion, made a strong ERC1 debut with a commendable seventh place.
In the national series, the S-CER, Suárez led the standings, followed by Javier Pardo and Pepe López, who finished sixth in the ERC despite suffering tire issues on SS10.

Among the young drivers, Sergi Pérez and Axel Coronado (Peugeot 208 Rally4) dominated both ERC Junior and ERC4. Alejandro Cachón and Jandrín López (Toyota GR Yaris Rally2), who led the opening day, had to retire on Sunday after going off-road while in the lead.
Finally, in the national cups, victories were claimed by Arnau Bartés and Melisa Lorenzo (Hyundai i20N Rallye Cup) and Javier Cañada and Aday Ortiz (Peugeot Challenge), while José Lamela and Unai Conde triumphed in GR Yaris Spain.
